"Champions of Change, Thanks to You!"
Floyd Family Thanks
The Floyd family's unwavering commitment to community service is deeply rooted in their upbringing in Orange Park, Florida and Northeast Florida, where they were profoundly influenced by a network of compassionate educators and dedicated coaches who played pivotal roles in shaping their lives. From Grove Park Elementary to Orange Park Senior High, these mentors provided not only education but also invaluable mentorship, encouragement, and unwavering belief in the potential of each Floyd family member.

Throughout the decades, the Floyd family was blessed to have been surrounded by individuals who invested their time and energy into nurturing their talents, instilling values, and fostering a profound sense of belonging. These mentors, both in the classroom and on the football field, instilled in the Floyd family a deep sense of gratitude and a burning desire to give back to their community in return for the support they received.

The importance of family values and unity was further reinforced by the influence of their grandmothers, Viola White and Catherine Floyd. These remarkable women exemplified the significance of strong family bonds, teaching the Floyd family the importance of love, respect, and solidarity. Their legacy of compassion and heartfelt gratitude extended beyond the classroom and football field, creating a foundation of support and unity that continues to inspire future generations. The Floyd family, driven by these enduring values, remains committed to nurturing their community and fostering a sense of togetherness and mutual support.
The Floyd family's dedication to service is further exemplified by trailblazers like William "Shorty" Floyd, the first African American firefighter in Orange Park, and Sandra Floyd, whose lifelong dedication to serving the Clay County school system inspired subsequent generations of the Floyd family to continue their legacy of service and community empowerment.
Motivated by a profound sense of gratitude and a shared responsibility to uplift others, the Floyd family founded Bridge Builders Co, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering positive change and empowerment throughout North East Florida and beyond. Through initiatives like dynamic leadership-focused athletic training for youth, comprehensive adult education programs, and support for seniors, Bridge Builders Co seeks to bridge generational gaps, uplift communities, and create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.

The legacy of compassion and heartfelt gratitude extends not only in the classroom but also on the football field, where teachers and coaches like Jim Taylor, Bob Williams, Jeff Rouzie, Sam Ward, CF Knight, Randy Warren, Coach Robert Smith, Ron McCrone, Coach Jenkins, Joe Baldwin, Lou Devoux, Kathy Brannon, Sherman Smith, Gay McGovern, Lyle Bandy, and Andre Gooden played instrumental roles in not only honing their athletic skills but also imparting invaluable life lessons about teamwork, perseverance, and resilience.

Led by Ashley Marie Floyd-Anderson, their mission is to maximize impact and ensure community prosperity. As a dedicated mother, Ashley understands the unique challenges facing the community and is deeply committed to creating positive change. Together, we strive to nurture tomorrow's leaders by providing young people with the mentorship, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed. We emphasize the importance of adult financial literacy, equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills to manage their finances effectively, achieve financial stability, and contribute to the economic well-being of the community. Additionally, we work to enhance the well-being of seniors, ensuring that those who paved the way for future generations receive the care and respect they deserve through comprehensive support services. By fostering a stronger, more cohesive society, we aim to build a community where everyone can thrive. This work is especially important to Ashley, as she seeks to create a better, more equitable future for her children and all the children in her community.
